In desperate times we look around
Why don’t we just slow down?
It takes a tiny virus to show us our place
Makes me wonder how powerless is our human race
Yes, we were not prepared for anything like this
But isn’t life about clearing all the mist
No one knows for sure what each day brings in
Why is everyone surprised by this current scene?
Don’t fear as everything else this shall too pass
We shall come out again to lay on the lush green grass
Now that you are at home, at peace, let’s think of ways we can please
Care for people you love, see the hardships of everyone and thank the ones you don’t see
No one is waiting for you to be on time, No one wants to know who wins the race this time
Everyone wants you to be at home, everyone wants to be secure, safe and fine
For once, look inside yourself, see that in your mind’s mad race its God’s way to tell you that slowdown
Start valuing things that you have taken for granted and bow down
Dawn is still far but stay positive as this will surely go away
Don’t forget this state as a lesson from this should always stay
In desperate times look inside
Why don’t we start by being kind?
To Mother Nature, our family, our friends and one and other
As we are because of each other and will make this world beautiful once again together
Let our kids be gentler than us, caring each other keeping no grudge
So when we leave this stunning site, let there be memories of gratefulness, compassion, love, and pride
